Michael Jackson "E.T." Album, What do you think??

Hello everyone,

This item is about to end right now on ebay, and it has bidders, so i thought it would be good to get a record of it. I wish i would have found it sooner, but oh well. Hopefully the buyer will be able to get their money back once the item closes.

I believe i have seen this signed LP before, and i am almost positive that it isnt signed by Michael Jackson. Instead it looks like a rough forgery to me, but i would like others opinions. The price also reflects the authenticity of the item, in my opinion.

I also like how the seller states:

**NOTE**: I PURCHASED THIS ITEM FROM A MUTUAL COLLECTOR, AUTOGRAPHED BY MICHAEL JACKSON ON THE FRONT COVER. THE AUTOGRAPH IS IN RED MARKER. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THE AUTOGRAPH IS AUTHENTIC OR NOT. LP IS BEING SOLD AS IS. NO RETURNS ****

Which translates too:

"Hello, i am selling an item that i know is bad, but will act like i know nothing so that i can pass it on and earn some cash"

I really dont think this thing has any chance at being authentic, but any opinions welcome.

I've seen much worse attempts than this, but it's still pretty bad. Not authentic.

I bought this item kind of like buying a storage unit its what we do in this world of buying and collecting we take risk. I will be sending this item in to get authenticated and the only reason why i am taking a shot at it is because I been studying autographs by Michael Jackson for just a short time now but i have noticed his earlier year autographs are different from his recent ones as he started adding top hooks to the J in Jackson as his earlier years was just the bottom hook on the J and this looks just like one of the 3 authentic signatures ive seen from his younger days if im wrong i will just keep the album its in great condition with that vintage 80s smell to it lol but people have to be careful because someone signing a photo or any item standing up or on the go most of the time is gonna have a different signature as if they signed it sitting down its basic knowledge 1 little line thrown off people automatically think its a bogus signature look at michael J fox show me 3 signatures that look the same lol they all look different will keep you updated when authenticated comes back ..

You could've just did a PSA Quick Opinion for $7 while it was on ebay. It would've came back "Likely Not Genuine", ebay would've taken it down and you wouldn't be out $41. But like you said, you like the album as it is, so all is well I guess.

Stretch!Aww bro! MJ would want you to call it a wash and just play it off that you spent $40 on a $10 soundtrack that someone wrote on.Sending that in for authentication is like sending a used damp mattress into the forensic lab to have them verify the stains are in fact the previous owners body fluids!LOLAnyways,good luck!
