I’ve seen some bad (pun really not intended) Michael Jackson screw-up by TPAs, and this one’s right near the top. It’s an 8x10 for sale on eBay for $1250. It’s authenticated by JSA, and it’s in their system. Important to note, however, is the date of authentication, July 17, 2009. That’s less than a month after MJ passed away. TPAs were getting stuff in so that sellers could capitalize on Michael’s death. And unfortunately, based on some of the stuff I’ve seen authenticated around that time, the major TPAs were not real clear on what constituted an authentic Michael Jackson autograph. It’s pretty atrocious...I think. What do you think?
I’m posting a link to the ebay listing because, for some reason, I’m not able to post pics right now.

James,
I am confident this is 100 percent real. It is from the John Brennan Collection. Yes it is shaky but it is a real MJ auto.
Yes, thank you, Prashant. I’ve decided to edit the title of the discussion! Lol.
This is another autograph of Michael Jackson from the John Brennan collection. A worse example but still 100% authentic.
Yeah, it’s pretty ugly. To be honest, I wouldn’t want it for my collection. Honestly, I don’t know much about John Brennan. I know he’s a highly-respected in-person Autograph collector.
But can we be certain that he never slipped something in his collection that he really didn’t obtain himself? I’m truly not trying to be argumentative, just wanting to learn.
So I pose this question to you and anyone else that would care to chime in. Let’s say I, myself, obtained that MJ autograph or the OP from Michael Jackson in-person, would it still pass JSA or PSA or BAS or Epperson?
There’s another MJ autograph on eBay that was discussed a few weeks ago. I said it was unlike any MJ autograph I had ever seen. Steve C. agreed he had never seen an MJ autograph like it before, but it was authenticated by JSA I believe. We were later told that it was from the John Brennan collection.
So why do John Brennan Michael Jackson autographs appear so different from most others?
You're now assuming I knew this was a John Brennan autograph. I had no idea. To me it looks like an IP sig - they are usually not pretty.
And you already know the answer to: do authenticators make mistakes.
I know you didn’t know it was from Brennan. And if you think it’s authentic, Wascher, in all honesty, then I think it is too. I have full trust in you about Michael Jackson items just like I have full trust in Kamran regarding Madonna items.
The other Brennan I was referring to above did not look like a rushed autograph, but it looked pretty weird. If I can post it, I will.
I also saw a couple of Brennan IPs in RR that were worse than the OP here.
This is it. It was authenticated by Beckett not JSA.
If anyone thinks jb obtained every autograph himself like rr auctions pertain he does is a fabrication.
