On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

I'm sick.  Bush is delusional and pathetic.  11:40 - "Yeah hopefully they'll end up with people who'll preserve them.  And like, Michael's music is all over the world, hopefully these jackets end up all over the world.  Right now they're stayed in one little area.  That's what's wrong with them.  They need to be out with everybody."

WTH is this guy smoking?  MJ wanted these in a museum, as Bush damn well KNOWS.  Instead, he desecrated them with his disgusting chicken scratch forgeries, and is going to illegally sell Michael's iconic clothing (and personal property) for BILLIONS $$$$$$$$$$.  He's trying to convince himself, rationalize and justify the UNJUSTIFIABLE selling out of his "friend" Michael Jackson and Michael's wishes for his eponymous garments to be "preserved" as Bush says .... in a museum, NOT spread all around the world somewhere.  Bush has sold his soul for greed.  Karma MLB, that's all I can pray for.

Meanwhile, poor Majestic isn't aware these are forgeries.  He's talking to the snakes.

wow those autographs are so fake, but the jackets are really worn. SMH

Amazing. Darren Julien just doesn't know the meaning of the word ethics. He better watch out or Holyfield will take him out.

Meanwhile, where is the law stopping the sell off of Michael Jackson forgeries in 4 short days? :(

any opinions on MJ stuff for sale at gotta's current auction?

Ive seen tons of fake items there. In my opinion.

yes lots of fake or not enough proofs of authenticity

And here is why I believe it is the same VICTORY TOUR outfit, I see a pattern here, items being consigned and tried to be sold on Gotta Have Rock & Roll and then goes to Julien's Auctions later...

  • Check out the Eaten Alive Shirt.

It went to Golden Closet/Gotta Have R&R on March 11th 2010

Golden Closet/Gotta Have R&R

And then again sold on Julien's Auctions on June 25th 2011

  • Another "Victory Tour" Stage Worn Blue Beaded Shirt and White Pants

It went to Golden Closet/Gotta Have R&R on March 11th 2010

And then again sold on Julien's Auctions on October 8th 2010

Julien's Auctions :

  • "BAD TOUR" Stage Worn Black Outfit

It went to Golden Closet/Gotta Have R&R on March 11th 2010

And then again sold on Julien's Auctions on June 26th 2011

  • "Black Western Shirt"

It went to Golden Closet/Gotta Have R&R on March 11th 2010

And then again sold on Julien's Auctions on October 21st 2011

So there are 5 items total from the March 11th 2010 Auction from Gotta Have Rock And Roll...

These 5 items came back in several JULIEN'S AUCTIONS!

And the Victory Tour JUMPSUIT came back signed, while it was not at the beginning in 2010!!!!

Take a good look at the VICTORY TOUR JUMPSUIT links :

Here are the links and pictures :

Golden Closet/Gotta Have R&R Auction in March 11th 2010 NOT SIGNED

And here is the Juliens:

Julien's Auction in October 8th 2010 SIGNED!!!

SO NOW... AM I CRAZY...?!?

Wow, these are mainly Victory tour era items that Bush would not have created or maintained or created several of -- as Bush met Michael afterwards.

Are the signatures similar or the same as what we are seeing in this auction?

The only outfit from this 2010 auction that came back the same year signed, is the Victory Tour Jumpsuit... Which MJ could not sign, as he passed away on June 2009...

The signature has the same fake "N" in the end of Jackson, with the loop...!

Face,

It's the same design, but it may not be the same jumpsuit. The finish layer looks like it has worn off differently on the left leg and left hip. At least to me.

I think alot of things purported to be SOLD AT AUCTION HOUSES really don't sell but they prented they did to boost prices down the road...anyone else know about this

That doesn't change the fact that the Victory Tour outfit was consigned for an auction on March 2010 UNSIGNED and turned out SIGNED  for Julien's Auctions in October 2010...
