On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

Wow. Interesting. I love it when the exact evidence needed is not allowed to be shown. Classic! And, oh yes, I have some ocean front property for sale in Nevada if anyone is interested!

Hello ,
I find it shocking ... Julien said he had a video, but can not show it Because Michael was not "good"? I understand this? This is abuse on Michael, you do not think? Or is it a lie Julien? this is incredible and sad ..

Note that Juliens settled a legal auction dispute with MJ while he was alive andare likely still bound by it

Sling that suit had to do with Jackson's "personal property" that was removed at Neverland which appeared to have some tap dancing by lawyers and who signed what agreement with what intent....  Also depends what the T&Cs of the settlement was but most likely has nothing to do with Neverland's personal property unless there is a hook.

Also recall that Juliens was subsequently sued by a collector for cancelling that auction.  Juliens was eventually victorious in that suit, "It is opportunists like Mr. Richard LaPointe and his attorney Nicholas Hornberger that fill up our courts and the valuable time of our judges with frivolous and malicious lawsuits against individuals and companies who work hard to make an honest living. Our reputation stands on its own and we have every intention to pursue Mr. LaPointe and Mr. Nicholas Hornberger for malicious prosecution and all court and attorney costs"

There could be  a rider saying any disparaging act or representation against MJ in future  must not happen hence a drugged MJ may not fly re agreement...stretch I know

BYT, did you see the MJ estate Juliens catalog?  Wondering if any fakes snuck into that estate auction too....

DB and Sling, The Estate settleed with LaPointe. Juliens got off  http://www.contactmusic.com/news/collector-settles-with-michael-jac...

The items in question were very similar to those in the present auction, some of them posted here http://www.scribd.com/doc/112859071/ARE-JULIENS-AUCTIONS-KNOWINGLY-...

DB the items in the present sale,,, Bush is the caretaker, Michael gave them to him for safe keeping, this is why, imo he has scribbled all over them, to portray they WERE given to him, there was a make up artist that worked along side wth Bush and Tompkins for 25yrs plus, this is what she tweeted

Bush himself admits Michael wanted these pieces in a museum,

There we go.  Baseless, disparaging character assassination on Michael Jackson - YET AGAIN.  How convenient.  I'm glad we are staying on track with our fact based, academic discussion on authenticating the man's signature.

I hear a dog barking somewhere.

DB thank you for the update from Juliens, hmmm they have a video but wont show it,, i wonder if its as credible as these signatures!
I wonder what "state" it is they are inferring to...?

I assume he is under the influence of painkillers. Which is silly. We've all seen COPS already. Give me a break!

irina - that would be the "milk" state.
