Why would the forger make an effort like this? Why not at least try to make it look authentic? If someone buys this they deserve what they get.

It looks more like Marylin Monroe's signature than Mickey's.

Some kid or goofball was probably playing around and just signed it Mickey Mantle in their handwriting. Years later, some moron found this in a garage sale/flea market and thought they found the jackpot.
