5 DIFFERENT MICKEY MANTLE STYLE SIGNATURES AUTHENTICATED BY G.A.I.....3 AUTHENTICATED BY MIKE BAKER

All of these autographs were authenticated by G.A.I which raises the question....how the hell could one company authenticate 5 different style Mickey Mantle signatures ?!?!?!?!...Mike Baker authenticated 2 of these items which the one on top is actually authentic in my opinion....he actually authenticated that one...

The second Mantle I am really not quite sure about...is that a bad authentic Mantle or better then usual forgery ?...that middle Mantle really has me scratching my head...also authenticated by G.A.I. I don't like it...good or bad...its off to me

The third Mantle we all know about....garbage all day all the way...also authenticated by G.A.I. I do admit that I have seen some authentic Mantles popping up lately....were there coming from is beyond me since the great Mickey Mantle has been deceased since 1995...16 YEARS...

The fourth Mantle is really the closest I have seen in a long time...this will by far be the style that really ruins a extremely tainted hobbie already !!!! Iam guessing the guy that did the second Mantle also did the forth one also authenticated by Mike Baker !!!!!

The fifth one has my baffled...WTF is going on here !?!?!?!?!

JUST LIKE MY MAN CLINT EASTWOOD....I REFER THESE AUTOS AS THE GOOD...THE BAD...AND THE UGLY...and now THE REAL UGLY

Feel free to post any G.A.I Mantles good and bad...let me know what you guys think...

Interesting discussion. I think the first one is genuine, but I don't trust the others. Could 2 and 5 be good? Possibly. I'm just learning Mantle...thanks to everyone here.

But Fudd and I had a long call last week and I think some of his chops rubbed off on me.

yeah Steve...no question I am no expert but seen soooooo many fake mantles that the authentic ones are so far and few between....it seems to me like there is a new forger on the block and it is quite scary but without giving away any tips to the forgers out there on these threads the flaws are so distinct in the fakes that they will never be able to match the Micks hand or fool an experienced eye...although close... but not even really that close...

it is sick to say but when I first started out I saw so many fakes I thought the authentic mantles were forgeries....true story

This happens to me as well. I call it Forgery Fatigue Syndrome. You see so many fakes, you get paranoid about everything.

Tough to tell without a better scan.

The Stengel is a question mark as well in my view for a variety of reasons.

I did see this a while back and I actually liked the Mantle. Not enough to pull the trigger however.

I have 5 Stengel's and that one appears consistent to me???

I have to say the Mantle "looks" good but I am not sure...Just not enough traits to know for sure for me...only reason I say that is why would someone hold onto this for 16 years to get it authenticated now...with GAI of all authenticators...

It's hard to tell from the small scan, but a few question marks on the Stengel.

* This is a commonly signed item. It is typically signed horizontally in blue ballpoint or thin tipped black marker. This is signed vertically in blue marker.

* Need bigger scan, but looks like there may be "feathering" in the signature. Particularly evident in the "asey" and "gel." This is what happens when old paper is signed recently.

I didn't really notice that Mr.Zipper...I used to have one of those discs and sold it some time ago to my buddys over at millcreeksports...It was PSA but it was on a Mets disc signed on both sides...I have to search If I kept the image still...it was nice but I just couldnt find a way to display it...the Mantle on the other hand is a bit of a question mark personally to me...theres some good and bad but I really don't see enough of the good to add it to my PC...
