hi everyone im curious to know what you guys store your stuff in. my collection has been temporarily demoted to the garage due to space issues and im worried this might become permanent. i know moisture is a concern and ive also read about paper mites that could do damage to my fairly large book collection so im looking for good solutions to this problem. any recommendations or success stories. thank you

I don't know where you are located but where I live if you are going to store books in the garage you might as well take them straight to the dump.
If your garage has extremes of temperature and humidity, I would pick a few favorite books to keep in the house and then sell the rest.
If you are not able to store them properly then it might be best to sell them to someone who can.
As JK indicated, a garage space with no climate control is a recipe for quick deterioration. However, if you are in a moderate climate with no temperature extremes, it is technically possible.
I would seal the books in storage sleeves/bags, and then put them in plastic storage bins that seal tightly to protect from moisture, mice and insects. Consider placing cedar chips in the bins to repel insects. Do not place the plastic bins directly on a concrete floor. Concrete holds and conducts moisture. If you can't put them on shelving, then use boards or a pallet to keep bins from direct contact with the floor.
thanks you guys where theres a will theres a way!
About 10 years ago I moved and was in between homes. I rented a 5x5 storage locker for 6 months and it was only 30$ a month. I was well worth it to store my collectibles and items I wanted to keep safe. It's like a big closet. And the first month was free.
