We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

I know a number of you have purchased from Pledge Music with mixed results (perhaps a generous assessment). This article was just published by Billboard. Sounds like this company has more issues than just the customer service side of things. Probably best to proceed with caution when purchasing through them.

I will not buy from Pledge Music any more, they used to be quite good up until 2 years   Ago, they are a waste of time now, never reply to e Mails and alarmingly I have had a Killing Joke Signed LP on pre Order for over 2 year.... yes 2 years.... I got fed up of waiting so asked for a refund.,.. which they will not give me...

they are a bunch of crooks!

Pledge posted a response on their site yesterday....

https://www.pledgemusic.com/blog/pledgemusic-payment-statement?refe...

I suspect this company will not be around a whole lot longer.

Dont they have to wait for the pledge amount to be reached before the signed LP comes to fruition?  Perhaps not enough orders were made.  This happened to me with a Duane Eddy signed LP from them.  Waited a year, and the pledge amount was never met.  They did refund me however.  I would push them on that.

I had some problems with Pledge (black vinyl instead of white, item not available any more, delay in sending item,...) but to be fair they always replied within 5 days (usually 48 hours) and I was refunded quickly for what had to be refunded (or the exchange was done within 10 days).

I do not know the artist side, but for the customer service, it has not been worst (or better) than tmstor or Ebay (Amazon is quite above though I must say, even if mistakes from them are not rare, the ideal being not having to use customer service!).

Maggie Rogers posted that she'd signed more CDs for Newbury, though the image posted suggested the "MR" initials signature.

Some pledges are drawn out over a period of months because artist are on tour, so they could definitely manage that better. I've purchased a disposable camera from the dandys pledge that they shot pics with and seen them put them on Instagram recently so now pledge need to ship it.. hurry up!!
