Ebay seller mancavememorabilia is selling a 1962 Yankees autgraphed baseball that has CLUBHOUSE signatures of Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Then he goes on in the description to talk about how great it is to have a ball from Mantle's last world series ring and the best part of it is he put's how rare it is to get a Roger Maris autograph on the ball. This auction is up to $600 with 3 days still to go. People need to read the fine print better! http://www.ebay.com/itm/271840951515?_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649&a...

Sad part is the same ball can be found twice under completed listings with a Ken Goldin COA saying the Mantle and Maris autographs are authentic. That dosn't 100% mean the Ken Goldin COA came with that ball. It could have came from an authentic Mantle Maris ball and been copied and placed with that garbage Mantle Maris ball.
it happens all the time. Welcome to the world of ebay, where the almighty dollar trumps over honesty and integrity.
The majority of autograph buyers on Ebay are wannabe autograph collectors. They know ZERO about autographs.
James, that's a good point.
never thought of it that way James. interesting point.
There is a market for clubhouse sigs, I personally wouldn't pay $5 for one but I've seen some go for stupid amounts.
This particular seller seems to have a mix of GA/GAI junk, with a few authentics. They did post the LOA in the auction which clearly states the Mantle/Maris are clubhouse, and they even reiterated it in the description. I would think these bidders at least read that much...

There you go thinking again. That would assume they could read. LOL It is quite sickening in a funny sort of way that there are this many imbeciles on both sides of the fence, buyers and sellers.
I remember the first time I read clubhouse signature on a LOA. I didn't know exactly what it was either for about 3 seconds. Then I continued to read the LOA and got a perfect explanation of what it was.! ;)
