Hi, first I would like to say that I love this site and forum, both have been very helpful!  I have a Nicole Kidman autograph that I obtained via mail back in 2003.  I don't remember if I sent it to Romania (where she was filming Cold Mountain) or if I sent it to the Carolinas where they also did some filming.  I do know that I sent it to her via venue while she was filming the movie though.  It was not long after her and Tom Cruise had split.  I remember telling her in the letter that I was praying for her and that Jesus loved her.  When I got the photo back signed, I was shocked!  On the front the autograph reads "Nicole Kidman To Chris Hammond 8/10/03"  (the date is either 8/10 or 8/14).  On the back is the inscription "Jesus Loves You Chris Hammond 8/3/03 NK."  (again the date may be 8/3 or another day...its hard to make out because the signer used a broad permanent marker.  When I've compared this autograph to others that supposedly authentic, I can't tell any similarities.  However, I have zero experience in authenticating anything.  I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinions and if you have any suggestions on if and where I should send it to get authenticated?  Any help or advice would be appreciated!  Thank you!

The autograph is atypical.  If you would like to have it authenticated I recommend sending it to PSA.

Thank you for the input. I was leaning towards PSA but wasn't sure. I hope it is authentic as it is very unique and personal.

It is very unique and personal.  I hope that it passes authentication.  Hopefully PSA will have similar exemplars in their inventory.  Good luck Chris.  Please keep us posted.

Mike,  thanks I do too!  Its going to cost me $54 total to have it looked at by PSA (thats shipping and all so hopefully it turns out legit).  I've heard she is a tough signature to get.

I think it's real and a nice piece

Dan, just out of curiosity, why do you think it is real?  Not doubting your opinion, just wondering your reasoning.

Call it a gut feeling Chris. When i lived in Australia I got her quite a few times and this just has some characteristics I like although it does look different from those Pete posted

This is not authentic IMO.

I have never seen anything like it from Nicole's hand.

Chris....save your $54.

The first was 1990's the second was late 90's ....the other 3 were early 2000's while she was on Broadway.

So, I finally decided to send this one in to PSA/DNA, primarily because I'm sending in two other photos which I am 99.9% certain are authentic. If this auto ends up not passing authentication, I will only be out $25.00 instead of $54.00 (since they charge the same $19.00 shipping rate for up to 25 items). I will let you all know the results. I really hope it passes authentication, even though it is different from some of her other samples. Thanks for all the input!
