$12,000? Am I reading this right? $12,000 am I missing something? I had to really double check that price tag.

Nope a signed CD sold for 20k.  I sold my nirvana  stuff  for alot more. Its all about providence.  With this band getting stuff first hand u pay a premium as there do many fakes and there hard to authenticate. A few k and is normal for them..

There was one that looked like it sold on ebay for close to 20 grand but it popped right back up for less.

That seller has a ton of signed ones.i belive one sold and he relisted another one

A few Nirvana CDs with rock-solid provenance sold at RR 2-3 years ago for under $10K. One may have sold for much less. I’d have to check. 

They belonged to an Australian collector, Richard Simpkin, who wrote a book about meeting celebs, “Richard and Famous. “

I haven’t seen one go that high. If anyone has a worthpoint, put it up.

I sold my nirvana privatel and I got way over 10 k for each piece  Alot of stuff I sell is Done privatel.

many people here can vouch for john's collection and his word

He's got stuff that will make most people's head spin (aquired in person) and he sells for top dollar.... these things I know. But this is only my word  ha haaa
