Looks good! Thanks, they refunded my shipping at least and was really FedEx’s fault

Did anyone else not get a word yet about this?

I tried to access my account but that seems to have been deleted, when I try to recover a password it doesn't recognise my email. They did keep my money though so I'm hoping my order is still good.

I didn’t get a shipping notification or an email

but a text message from fedex to say it’s on the way a few days ago

well that sucks, I never heard back on the email I sent them so I phoned Rizzoli's and they said that they only got 50 copies which they blew through before getting to my order, they said they sent an email out asking if I wanted an unsigned copy but I never received it. so just getting a refund. anyone who hasn't heard anything may want to check with them

Just got mine today in France, nicely signed and well protected.

Yeah I must have gotten my order in too late but I thought there were some others on here that said they hadn't heard anything yet either so figured I'd pass the info along. They said they were holding out on canceling while trying to get some signed book plates but I guess that didn't work our

I received my signed copy of the Giorgio Armani book - nice bold signature on the title page.

I had to call Rizzoli to find out what is going on. No response to email or IG message. I ordered copies for two friends for Christmas who are fashionistas. They would have died.

The person on the phone said (in the thickest, slowest vocal fry) “um like yeah, we aren’t getting anymore in so that’s like really bad news for you  I know.”

I preordered in April so I assumed they were only taking orders for that what they were promised.

So I said, “so was like anyone gonna like notify me of this or were you all just gonna like keep my $80.”

”No, we will like totally refund you. This is a bummer.”

Diligence in customer service is dead. I worked in retail and customer service from the time I was 15 until I got my masters. Whatever is happening today doesn’t pass for customer service.

They would have totally kept my money if I fell asleep on this.

Same - they “blew through their copies in 24 hrs” before they could fill mine.

Great at taking the order, terrible with the rest.

I will probably not buy from them again. Granted I got the Peter Gabriel, but no communication beyond the order placed confirmation.

It just showed up one day.

I think you are right about them keeping our money - I haven't received any update from them nor my book but they have kept my money.  On top of that my account seems to have been removed from  or blocked on their website (site does not recognise my email anymore), so I can't even access my order.

I received this today from Rizzoli....

Order status: Canceled

Order comment:
Unfortunately, we are currently in the process of canceling all of our orders for signed copies of this book. We are sorry to say that we did not receive enough signed copies to fill the high volume of orders that we received for this title. Because of this, we are canceling your order. Your credit card has not been charged. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Called and cancelled mine today.  the other irritating thing about this was that a friend of mine who I know ordered after me got his signed book.  I know he ordered after me because I told him about the book after ordering it myself... so they didn't even fill the orders in the order they received them.  They also never answered my email asking about the status of the book.  I emailed them today to tell them that I will likely never order from them again... not that they'll respond to that email.
