And I did the quick opinion on it after I got it for Christmas and it said likely authentic ... I just dont get..

I am not sure how I feel right now.. I almost feel like I have been had.  They say its likely authentic - send it in.. and take my money and then.. NOPE.. sorry.

Well - its official - I got the PSA GENERIC DENIED letter today. 

So got the quick opinion from them as Likely Authentic and then send in your money and item after you purchase it and Oppss.. sorry NOT authentic. 

The thing that really bugs me is that they do not even say WHY they thinks it not good - for the $100 and the mistake of saying its good at first.. you would think they would at least say WHY they think its not real. Or is that some secret??

Got to love it..

You would think for $100 they would give you some insight. I personally will never spend $100 to get something authenticated.

You would think... for $100 at least they could say WHAT they didn't like about it.  I am very disappointed in PSA.

I feel more and more.. that its one big SCAM.  Purchase this - we think its real.. sorry.. its not real our mistake - good luck getting your money back and thanks for sending us $100 for trying to get it authenticated.

I did contact Joe Orlando and he said he would take a second look at it - but PROBABLY would have the same results.  I am like.. then what is the point.  

Mr. Orlando still cannot tell me or will not tell me WHY they think its not real.  

Ridiculous!  He made a claim that they do thousands every day and to ask that one person why they rejected it...  I asked him doesn't he have a computer and surely he keeps some records..  

I am very disappointed in PSA.

And let me state for the record - I am not mad about getting it denied - even after the quick opinion said it was good.  Its the fact they wont even tell me WHY.

I can certainly understand your frustration and irritation at PSA .  I personally feel they owe you the reasons behind why they deem it not authentic,  I hope you will be able to get your money back from the sale.

frankly, after the PSA Obama's I have seen authenticated, I would consider it a positive that they failed this. that means there is a high likelihood it is real.  they have passed some junk Obama's.  How they can fail this one is beyond me.

Agreed- that looks very similar to mine.. The one they failed. All I want is a little feedback as to why they failed mine... Joe Orlando response - nope cannot do that.

The one PSA passed (the book) has a much more gradual rounded angle going into the top of the B. The one they failed (the magazine) has more of a flat top B.

I do not claim to know the authenticity of either, but it seems to be the angle of that curve could be a significant tell.
