Authenticity is Everything
Old AC/DC album
I picked up this album from a garage sale about 20 years ago. Since then its been framed in my house and i never really thought about authenticity until I started going to comic-cons and getting stuff signed and JSA certified. Before throwing more money into authentication just wanted to know peoples opinion on this piece. I believe it has 4 out of 5 AC/DC members with a random 5th, unidentifiable signature. Here are close ups of all the signatures, a shot of the whole album, and a xerox scan that clearly shows pen lines/thickness/etc.
The cursory SWAU and Beckett online submittals for $10 but came back unable to determine if it would pass full authenticity. I know signatures change and even then there's variations. To me the lines don't show hesitation or anything that would be a red flag - but I'm not expert. I wonder if the mystery signature is what makes them unable to verify. Just wanted the community's opinion.

Do you mean like it was printed on the album? Because its definitely paint pen and you can see the ink strokes on the b/w xerox scan.

Glad you asked. No, I agree, it's not printed. It was either signed using a device or an "artist" adept at copying writing.

Yeah, I've always had a feeling like the signatures are too 'neat'... but then again, if someone was going to fake AC/DC why include a 5th mystery signature and not include Phil Rudd.

I agree with Steve and A.B.
In my opinion, im not a fan of this item for many reasons.. The very first thing that hit my eye is how AC/DC seems to have the same style of writing between eachother. Authentic examples I have seen can look a bit similar to each other but not in this way. Especially the last 2. They scream to me this is the same hand.
While I don't necessarily like to base judgement on opinions of TPA's, I do believe they were correct for the ones below. Just to use as a better comparison.. These are the qualities I personally would look for but I have limited knowledge for possible variations in all stages of their career or variations for street graphs
