Monday Greetings -  I'd be appreciative of any thoughts on this Elvis that is signed on an index card. It's apparently in fountain pen which hints at possibly being an earlier signature.

Just got a reply...he's taking a pass on it. He obtained a Quick Opinion that came back as likely not authentic. I think given that as well as some of the points made on this tread, probably a wise call for him personally. Helping him a bit this afternoon, I myself also learned a bit more about the look of Elvis' signature over the years.

Here's something I came across when I was looking around today.  It's a signature from an early 60's contract from the Presley Collectibles exemplar page. To my eyes at least, there's just a more natural flow to this one:

It's apparent also that Elvis probably did not sign as on a rigidly straight baseline like the card above.  Actually, I'd submit that people really don't naturally write in such a way that a ruler could be put under their script and have it be perfectly straight....as well as using extremely precise spacing between the lines of a dedication. Given that as well as the perfect centering, maybe that's part of what terrier8HOF was sensing.

Smart decision. I do think it could be real but we don’t have enough information to tell if it’s likely real.

Yes, I agree with you Steve. The supplied scan really only lends itself to a somewhat limited look at the inscription and signature due to the low definition quality.
