In an auction format on eBay on June 1st, an original unsigned Prince For You poster from 1978 sold for $797 with 16 bidders fighting it out. I was excited to see that because I also have one...and it’s signed too! My understanding is that these posters were promo only and just sent out to radio stations in the Twin cities area in Minnesota. The posters are supposedly very rare. I don’t know how many still exist, but I’ve got to believe that there are very, very few signed ones in existence. Anyway, here is a pic of the one that sold. If you have ever collected sports cards, it’s almost always a player’s rookie card that may become valuable if the player becomes a star. Well, this is kind of like Prince’s rookie card (poster) because Prince For You was Prince’s first studio album.
Now that’s one expensive poster! When I was a kid, I think I bought the original red swimsuit Farrah Fawcett poster for about $3. I could never have imagined then that a poster could ever be worth that much. But then again, who would have imagined a Mickey Mantle rookie card worth close to $100,000 in mint condition?

Congratulations on your signed poster, its value will increase even more with time.
Can you post a photo I would like to see it a lot. :)
Sounds like you have a bona fide rarity, James. I would also like to see if you get the chance to share it. Congratulations.
$100,000 for a mint Mickey Mantle rookie card? BUY IT!!! Heritage Auctions sold one in April for $2,880,000 in PSA-9, which is mint condition.
Wow! I’m a bit behind the times. I had no idea the value had increased that much. Obviously, I haven’t been following it too much lately, lol. I wonder what the seller paid for it.
There are 3 PSA-10s and I heard the owner of one passed on a $10,000,000 offer.
Amazing! Do you know how many 9s there are? And what is the Honus Wagner valued at now?
I’d love to have one. I’m just waiting for that Powerball Jackpot!
It’s hard to tell from the pic, but the frame is a dark purple color,,and the poster has a thin black mat around it.

Thank you, Marcelo and Joe! I’m going to try to post a pic or two now.
