Hello Forum,

Heres a lovely signature obtained in London Town , Fri 12 October 2012.

Obtained by a close friend from Paul McCartney.

Ha Ha

Its a joke really isnt it !

Macca gives this type of signature when he really isnt interested,

At the time of signing he was complaining at some collectors........ quote ' Ive seen you here before' and ' Are you here again ! '

Sad but true, so consider yourself lucky if you have better examples in your collection !

Note that even though this is just his forename , it is signed from left to right,

The signature is 9am to 3pm and not the sloping to 4pm examples shown on a previous post that are being suggested as Not Genuine

I hope this helps collectors of McCartney

its short but you can definitely see the Mc attributes.

Hi Terrier !

Yeah its a shame as my friend waited and asked nice, but a few collectors pounced on him and he recognised them, they wait on him every day he is in town ! shame

Real but garbage

Hi Gary.  you can kind of understand how these celebs must get tired of seeing the same people over and over again.  they know that their signature is just getting a dollar sign attached to it.  what happens though is that the real collectors get hurt by it.

Prime Example: Last year I went to Pacers vs. Heat playoff game. I knew my seats were right by where Larry Bird sits, so I wore my authentic Bird jersey. During a timeout I approached him and said "Mr. Bird will you sign my jersey please". He simply said "No" and looked the other way. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE ENTIRE STADIUM wearing his jersey and he said no.

Immediately I asked if he would sign my ticket, he did. (signed it "L. Bird" instead of Larry).

I spoke with some employees and they said he won't sign anything except tickets because it's too valuable and he got tired of people selling his autographs years ago. Such a bummer for a lifelong fan like me.

Yeah, Bill Wyman of the Stones refuses some items by saying ' They are for Ebay '

Its funny as no one wants him except for on stones items !!!

Yeah, but its alway been this way, people have always collected and sold

but more and more are collecting now

Macca stops items on ebay also, he VEROs them and they are genuine but withdrawn !

What the heck are you doing up in the middle of the night, my friend?

Ha Ha Steve, just messing about before bed

Hope your well

If they are real and owned by the individual selling them how can he use VERO?  Seems an abuse of VERO priviliges even if it is Sir Paul,   Although when a celebrity starts recognizing people it gets to be an issue again and again.

btw, in the ACAF forum one member said when it comes to a dispute there are three specialists they would reference.  Seems Jason Thanos commented about making such a suggestion here and not necessarily a positive oriented comment.

Some Specialists on Beatles signatures;   Paul Wain at Tracks UK , Perry Cox USA and Frank Caiazzo also in America, these are the worlds best in that posters viewpoint.   I believe Roger Epperson indicated in a post if you have a Tracks you are golden.  Caiazzo already has numerous endorsements as well.

Thus don't want to have the ACAF forum members feel reluctant to chime in on such matters on AML and let the chips fall where they may.

Hi DB

I put a Macca signed With The Beatles on ebay, authentic but rushed signature

It was pulled within 24 hours and advised of VERO. Ebays message also advised me

1  Do not relist or I would be suspended

2 The VERO affects my feedback and if I keep being VEROd I would lose my account

I put it into R and R and sold it there

Its strange !7

Christopher Lee VEROs everything here in UK also

Strange but true

If your listing was reported by a VeRO participant, and you believe that your listing was removed in error, try to contact the rights owner directly. The email we sent you about the removal will include their contact information. If the rights owner agrees that they made a mistake, have them email eBay and we'll allow you to relist your item.
If you are unable to resolve your dispute with the rights owner directly then you have the opportunity to contact ebay directly to argue your case.

since the above is after the fact & you have already sold it perhaps the next time around.
another option is a DMCA Take Down counter notice.  See the following but be cognizant it can be a 2 edge sword; http://www.citmedialaw.org/legal-guide/responding-dmca-takedown-not... but before pursuing that route contact EBAY to ensure all the ducks are in a row.  Once a counter notice is given to the VeRo the clock starts running.  They have 10 business days if they don't inform EBAY that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from relisting the items.  After 10 days the item may be relisted.

Hi DB

I must adit the threat of suspension from ebay scared me off, So I have never listed another Macca on there since.

I will take on board your advice and next time the VERO i will email them

As I said C Lee does it also, strange.......
