I was wondering if those of you with experience with Paul Newman's signing habits might assist me with this one. Of course it's a great image...but does the inscription and signature look to be authentic? The seller says the photo is vintage and signed around the time of the film's release in 1969 . I'm considering possibly purchasing it but hope you folks might give me your thoughts. Thanks!

I don't like this, but who knows.
Does not appear to be good. He signed so few Butch Cassidy items. I have a signed and personalized racing photo from him and all the writing is in cursive. I think it is strange to see a portion printed and a portion not.
Newman signed on borders and lite areas of the photos, staying off his body and co stars when possible. To looks correct, In Best the bottom of the b is at an upward angle while the s is heading south, while the t has a short top bar also heading south. The connected es in wishes has a flattened s. The Paul looks right. The Newman looks right with the occasional right cheek of the w being lifted. Mr. Newman had no problem mixing printed and cursive letters in the same words. My biggest concern about this autograph is the e in Newman is is above the N. I have never seen that in my library or collection….All of the above changes over his career. In my humble opinion I think the positives outweigh the negative and this Newman is real.
