Hello, I am new here. I am a HUGE "The Beatles" fan (like many are) I bought this piece a few years back. It is certified via PSA/DNA (http://www.psacard.com/DNACert/M00918) and while I do believe it to be legit, you never know so I thought why not let some other people judge it too? In any case a little back story.

This is a signed playbill from the play "Mass Appeal" from the Booth Theatre, it ran from November 12, 1981 after 16 previews. It closed on May 16, 1982 after 212 performances. Which means Paul McCartney would have had to been in New York in this 7 month period. Now the interesting fact is, this play was directed by Geraldine Fitzgerald who is also the mother to Michael Lindsay-Hogg (directed Let It Be plus many other Beatles projects)

I spoke to Michael about this and asked if he attended this play with Paul. He said no he didn't, he did take a look at the signature for me and said he believed it to be authentic. It looks good to me like many other quick "Paul" signatures. I also do not know why someone would forge a Paul signature on a playbill as well (but then again you never know) Thanks for looking and tell me what you think!

Always very difficult with these very abbreviated autographs.. But it looks authentic to me

it is very difficult to evaluate his "Paul" only signatures. there is just not enough there.  But I would lean towards authentic.

I would also say likely authentic and agree with your sentiments above: why would someone forge this item with "Paul" only? If I were you, I would rest easy about this, given the people that have pronounced it to be likely authentic, especially Michael and PSA/DNA. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Thank you! :)
