Well said, Adam.

We’re focusing on the Ringos right now, but of course they’re only a part of the equation. As Steve mentioned, there’s more to the story than just the appearance of the respective signatures. There are the other factors that link the various Maccas together and Ringos together, and that link the Maccas to the Ringos. It’s sometimes an odd assortment of additional offerings including things like signed Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen playbills, signed Funkos and presidential signatures. A TPA looked at the other items from one of the eBay sellers involved and said there were hundreds of blatantly bad items. The Ringos in the right column of the comparison were collected in the last few months. Prior to that, I didn’t have any in that style in my exemplar file.

Maybe the seller of the items you found is also a dealer and buyer? He or she may have purchased from chasers at a discount pricees and resales them, I know a lot of chasers that graph here in Los Angeles that rack and they don’t keep anything at all, and they also don’t even have eBay sales they just sale to a certain buyer and move on to the next celebrity, just something to think about,

I am very happy with my Ringo autograph that I purchased from Perry Cox recently. I think it's authentic, beautiful and rare. I have Perry and Frank letters that prove behind any doubt that it's authentic. I trust their judgment completely. I have no intention of selling this signature. I'm going to keep it for myself in my Beatles collection and I intend to enjoy it very much. At first I let myself be influenced by the opinions of all sort of people, but I have no reason to do that. I know Perry Cox for years. I adore him, love him and really appreciate him. For me, what Perry Cox and Frank Caiazzo say is holy! I have no intention of challenging them. Perry helped me many times in the past and I know he will continue to help me in the future. What Perry says, I do, simple as that. Thank you for reading this.

Couldn’t agree more thanks Daniel

I also think most authenticators do their best to get it right and I do think that they are much better then some of us are giving them credit for especially Steve Grad and Beckett, I sent them so many Beatles and sports  items and most come back unlikey to pass full authentication  so I now there not pushing things through just for the heck of it, I think if Frank/Perry/Epperson/Beckett authenticated it  your getting something that’s as close to authentic as getting it yourself in person,

"...I think if Frank/Perry/Epperson/Beckett authenticated it  your getting something that’s as close to authentic as getting it yourself in person..."

All I will say is you seem to have a short memory.

Of course nothing is 100% unless you get it yourself or at least see It signed in Front of you, I’m just saying that some of these authentication companies are not authenticating any Beatles items at the moment, ask ballroom we sent a bunch of items to Beckett and nothing came back positive so maybe they are getting it right these days probably not so much with Gleasons a while ago, but as of now they might be getting it right these guys are paid experts and I’m not saying you have to believe them, I’m only trying to say don’t blame me for taking there word over other members of the forum,

If that’s the case, why are you apparently not placing much value on Beckett’s opinion? I believe the two Maccas you sent for signature review are both related to this issue. Both came back as “unlikely to pass full authentication”, as did Daniel’s Ringo.

I did not know Daniel sent it to them

So now it’s becket vs Perry and frank? This is totally frustrating to say the least,

It's not one vs another. It's different opinions.

Detecting most forgeries is easy because probably 95% or more of them are obvious to even the average authenticator, legitimate dealer or serious collector.

But some, like these Ringos, are not obvious until you see and study several of them.

Ru007, why don't you take a few months to learn more about autograph collecting before you buy again? The more knowledge a collector has, the better.

Then you can decide if autograph collecting is for you.

As I said before I do have a large collection of autographs, but 90% of my collection is all in person, so I never really had an issue with authentication cause like I said it’s mostly in person, I do get them authenticated most times Incase I want to sale or trade I just never been much of a purchaser until recently when I wanted to collect signatures I can’t obtain myself  I may be new to purchasing but I’m not new to collecting, Especially Beatles signatures which I never got in person and more then likely never will, I hope that clears up my passion for this hobby
