Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I am a big fan of old school horror movies (esp. Hammer) and have recently acquired a Peter Cushing autograph. It looks a bit different than his usual autographs, but I have seen that his signature changed quite a bit over the years. What do you think? Real or fake?

Thank you!

This looks nothing like any Peter Cushing signature I've ever seen.

I agree with Joe W.  The autograph appears to be atypical.  How much did you pay for it?

Thanks for the quick replies. Originally it was 150 Euros, I paid 120 Euros. I can still give it back and get my money back. What do you think?

The seller has excellent ratings, but I am a bit sceptical.

Yes, for sure send it back....not even close to PC's signature....

As Joe W and  Etienne, have said, flush this and get your money back.

Gollywomp-  Just for reference, here's a later in life Peter Cushing signature and date written in a copy of his memoirs of working at Hammer Studios....it's actually very rare to fine anything signed by him that is not inscribed.

Gollywomp and  Etienne, Etienne is correct, Cushing was a prolific thru the mail signer. The demand is well above the supply. Why he sells for large numbers.

Actually, I think Peter's signature was fairly consistent over the decades. Here is a 1956 example. Click photo for full viewing.

Thank you all very much for your kind answers.

I will send the autograph back. So the search continues...
