Refunds I believe are with Quick Opinions that are undetermined/questionable. There is a third option as you see when you submit. Work was hopefully done to reach that opinion. I have never used a service and never will.
Eric, just curious. Why will you never use a service?
For me - why would I pay someone to have all the fun? Otherwise I would just be collecting a list of names. I despise vandalism/advertising stickers and the weight placed blindly by some on them. And I see enough mistakes. I do not buy, sell or recommend anything with a sticker. I once did, and removed it. I don't like what it suggests. And the hunt for goodies in the wild and raw, so naked and new (and much cheaper) is great fun too.
It's as if I had a rare car - I'd wash it myself and love doing so (and no bumper stickers!).
And if I wanted to sell that car one day, I would want proper title so potential buyers would not have to take my word regarding the legitimacy of ownership. : j
I understand your point of view. I'm just now learning this hobby. There's some signatures that I feel very confident in identifying their authenticity. Some signatures are consistent, complex and in my opinion very difficult to fake. I've seen other signatures that are simple scribbles or otherwise so easy to duplicate that I would not own one unless I obtained the signature in person myself. I agree that analyzing the signatures is a lot of fun : )
No, sorry. Know what you are paying for:
"...The “No Grade” term is used when an item cannot be graded by PSA for a variety of reasons. For example, PSA will not grade items that bear evidence of trimming (N1), restoration (N2), recoloration (N3), questionable authenticity (N4), altered stock (N5) or cleaning (N7). In the event that PSA rejects an item for any of these reasons, it will be returned and the grading fees are still charged, as the determination to reject a card requires review by PSA's authenticators and graders...."
