Hi everybody.  New member here.  I’ve read some of the previous posts asking for people’s thoughts on the PSA/DNA Quick Opinion option on eBay.  What I could not find is if anybody has ever submitted something to PSA, Beckett, JSA or another authenticatior after the PSA Quick Opinion said the item was “not likely authentic” but after closer review it came out positive.  Thoughts?

I already purchased the item from a long term eBay seller that specializes in older autographs and they have a feedback rating well over 500 without a single negative comment.  Felt confident about purchasing the item, but now I’m discouraged by the Quick Opinion feedback.

Edit/correction: "...About half of the exemplars of Gleason signatures at his PSA Facts page are simply secretarials by Sydell Spear or just forgeries of secretarials..."

From my experience with quick opinions is they are more likely to render a "likely not genuine" on a genuine signature than a "likely genuine" opinion on a forgery. I no longer use quick opinions by TPAs(for any reason).

Here is what I suggest. Ask here. You will get more accurate results. Or, if you don't want a signature publicly debated make friends here that you can talk to privately. Or with other trustworthy collectors elsewhere.

Just my two cents worth.

Completely agree!

Also agree fully!
