Garry King is well liked by some but I see a big problem with some of the items I see on his site. I'm not referring to Kenny Baker and other small bits but rather the large $$ music items.
Dealers in the UK might not be aware of current music item that they offer for sale. In another thread several autographs from Autografica were deemed fake. The items were Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston and Harrison Ford.
He might not know there is a problem.

Ren,
What do you mean by "In your last post you are almost looking for an excuse to delete this whole thing"? Are you referring to BWilliams' first post on this subject?
RenJones,
I do authentications for many auction houses and just yesterday a MJ signed photo was sent to me with this same signature on it. Wisely I asked, "did this come from the UK?" to the auction house. Their response was "yes, how did you know?" Nuff said may friends.
Roger
This is what I said yesterday, it does not suprise me.
They will keep coming round and they will be rejected in the USA.
But as AFTAL have stated they are 100% genuine, they will be accepted for Auction in the UK as AFTAL as a society now work with the Police and Authorities to make sure Fake items are eliminated from the Sales Market in the UK
So when offered to UK buyers they may well have AFTAL authorisation
This will run for ever mate
Gary, I have to say that I am very impressed at your ability to predict the future. When I read Roger's reply this morning I immediately thought of the scenario that you presented to me yesterday. Now I understand exactly what you were concerned about. PSA could use this particular example of Michael Jackson's signature as a forgery and that would create problems for anyone who purchased them if in fact they are authentic. Very impressive foresight on your part.
Mike ,
Its not rocket science ! lol
Its happened before with Beatles autographs
People met them and handed the books into the roadies. They returned signed and as years went by they turned out to be secatrials
When offered for sale in UK they get rejected, then they try to sell in America and same story, but people try to sell them privately.
Eventually someone buys them and after a while they go to a Auction house and they fail / get rejected
It goes round and round
Simple
lol
Gary, I am just now starting to appreciate your cynicism. lol
DB
As i said it will not go away , and Im hoping AFTAL sort it. I want to say more but I had best not
They are genuine as stated by AFTAL, 100~% so I dont know what else they will say
Then after the statement will ALL UK dealers will sell them openly ?
Can I ask, who exactly is on the Board of AFTAL ?
sorry u lost me on the last point
re advise ta mate
