Recently I was on a mission to get an authentic Heath Ledger autograph. I posted a message here and on the(RACC)asking fellow members if anyone had either a graded Heath Ledger or an authentic Ledger. Luckily I found one here from an awesome member who was very kind and helpful. Now on the RACC members page I received offers from a bunch of scammers. Here is one in particular that looked fake as hell to me. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought this one looked fake. The seller also told me he's not looking for top dollar but to make sure I decide now because he was going to put it on the RACCs member page the following day. He did not...Any opinions?

"...The seller also told me he's not looking for top dollar but to make sure I decide now..."

That's enough.

I have several Heath Ledgers on my profile in case you want to check them out.

From what I see, I think it is genuine.  Just my opinion .

Thanks Anne. I can say I was witnessed getting this
Why would I forge it ? At least I beleive you actually know something about his signature. Obviously some people don't !

Hello,

I see that your thread requesting a Heath Ledger on RACC produced 1 public response; the one that you have attached from IP collector Gary Harvey in the UK. (Gary is also an AML member.)

This Health Ledger from Gary does not raise flags for me.

Can you please include additional information and/or images about the "bunch of scammers" who contacted you through RACC/Facebook about Ledger otherwise?

The moderation team on RACC is always happy and available to help investigate any potential fakes in the group, but we can only do that if members reach out and contact us with information and/or concerns.

Any insight will be much appreciated.

Justin

PS: I would love to see the Ledger that you ultimately settled with. I know it can be difficult to find collectors who are willing to let Ledger autographs go, especially if they obtained him IP themselves.

Thanks for your comments and your defence of RACC... Which is a great place to buy and sell and experience genuine autographs

This item was offered to a collector searching for a Ledger signature via RACC

I offered my in person signed card from 2008, I did not know its true value and asked for a offer from the seeker.

He low balled me lol. He offered at $250 for it

Why would he offer $250 for a item he believes if fake ?

I said I believed it worth more than $250 and then he got upset .

I then consulted a reputable East Coast dealer, who then advise me its value is at least $600 maybe up to $1000

I offered the collector the chance to raise his offer, He then stopped communication

He has now raised it on here AML and calling me out as a scammer ????

The truth is out there and for Mr Meathead, please learn about autographs before you call people out

Please let's move on and good luck to all collectors in their quest

Here's mine which is for sale but it's not cheap.  It's on a blank 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock paper which means you can easily print the Batman script which I believe would make this a 1/1...or of course extremely rare.  I hadn't replied as it wasn't certed yet as I am still not sure if I'm better off making a matted display out of it.  In regards to dealing with sellers in PM, you may as well be going into a dark alley.  Never a good idea.  We just posted a reminder there as well for buyers to ask sellers to post their item images for a better transparency.  No automatic alt text available.

Print a script...on the...to make 1/1? Am I understanding this? What is the motive?

I think printing the script text on the signed blank page allows a collector an amazing display showpiece as well as an opportunity to get it signed by the rest of the cast.  Currently every script on the market is printed by the seller that I have seen and all have been forged. Is it going to be as good as if I had an original hand signed, obviously not and the $ won't be the same either.  Similar to how people mat autographed index cards below photos, it's just not the same albeit still something rare and unique.

It is merely a fiction - a simulation - and vandalized.

Full disclosure is given I hope. And it is not like matting cards with photos. This is alteration.

They look great. I can't wait to see the Batman cast come together on there!

Yes, detailing it would be suggested to whoever does that, the same way people take the Hillary Clinton signed book pages and print her quote about deplorables.  What you call vandalized a lot of collectors call enhanced.  If I were keeping it myself, that's what I'd do.

Personally, I like the Ledger you have Michael although I think simply matting it with a photo would be the way to go. I understand the concept of multi-signed items but keeping it simple is better in my humble opinion. Less to do and explain.
