Nobody asked him to do a song and a dance . If you ever had the chance to meet him in person for yourself and have had the experience myself and others have had with him then you might feel differently . Sure People sell there autographs but also there are people who are fans and would like to have the graph in there collection . There is a way to say sorry I do not want to sign , then there are people like Ringo who is a complete SNOB , Just my experience and I would say after graphing over 35 years others here have had this same experience ,

I'm not trying to defend him, because I don't know anything about how he is in person.

But I do think that when it comes to autographs, he's been more respectful to his fans than almost any other celebrity - and certainly more than every other celebrity with his level of fame. He's very reluctant to sign autographs now, and likely unpleasant about it. But for 40 years, he was maybe the only A-list celebrity who would sign autographs through the mail for free. When I was a young man, I sent him a Beatles CD cover, and he signed it and returned it without charging me a penny. And he did that for tens of thousands of people. I can't imagine how many hours he spent every week signing things. And when he finally gave it up, he made a public announcement with a deadline, giving everyone one last chance. He could have just stopped, but he let everyone know, and I'm sure that resulted in a massive tidal wave of fan mail in that month.

Which doesn't defend his other actions, of course. But I do think it's an indicator that he's a generous and grateful person on some level. I definitely treasure my signed CD. And I know for a fact that McCartney/Lennon/Harrison never would have done that for me or anyone else

In the email I got from Talk Shop Live it says :

Random Lithographs Hand-Signed from Ringo

Ringo already warned us with peace and love

Ringo is a jerk. He could be nice when he turns ya down.

Also, you guys are NUTS buying these hoping for the autograph. He probably signed 25. Tops.

SWING... and a miss! : No "randomly inserted signed print" for me. Just the CD and an unsigned print.

I admire the attempt- peace and love!

0 fior 2 here.

None are listed on ebay yet, I wonder if it's a 1 of 1 edition like the weird sports card industry does lol

I was thinking the same thing! I bet he signed one!

Here's a true story, that will blow your mind. As a journalist, I often get to talk to a variety of people. At one big concert venue in town, they have posters in the green room, signed by the artists that played that venue. The post of John Fogerty wasn't signed. He was the only artist that refused to sign his poster. The guy told me also, that 25 fans were waiting for autographs. He walked out to his tour bus and said "I'll just sign one," and they thought that meant "one a piece" but no. It literally meant one. So he signed one picture, for one fan (or maybe it was an album), and then walked on the bus.

I guarantee Ringo didn't sign many of these.

I purchased a couple of Ringo SPs that he signed at an All-Starr band show in the 90s. The recipient presented Ringo with three promo photos and asked him to sign and number them one through three. Ringo laughed and signed and numbered the first two before he was called away. I have the two signed and numbered photos along with the unsigned one.

I got Ringo in the '90s with his first All Star Tour. It helped that I had interviewed Joe Walsh (he showed up an hour late and was drunk), that was months before, so his manager said if I ever needed anything to let him know. Well...backstage to Ringo is what I needed, and he hooked me up. The rest is history!
