Hello everyone!

I am a long-time collector and first time user on the site. Nice to e-meet you all. I started collecting when I was around 12, writing letters to my favorite actors on television. I remember how much fun it was to receive a signed photo in the mail. I now live in the Los Angeles area I’ve been able to get many autographs in person which is wonderful. That’s really the only way to know for sure it’s 100% authentic. But, my collection was always missing my favorite actor of all time, Marlon Brando. I studied his autograph a bit and found something on eBay that I purchased and got for a steal. Personally, I feel the cost doesn’t necessarily coincide with authenticity. I just got lucky with an auction. You all are the experts, so I’d love some feedback. The third photo I lightened up significantly to get a better look at the signature. I also like that the item itself is pretty rare. It did come with an original COA/ The seller is selling his entire collection of items and he originally bought it in a store in Hollywood. I believe that he believes it is real and is not trying to scam me or anyone. He has a wide array of signed items for auction. Although we all know a COA doesn’t mean much as they are just as easily faked. Thanks so much looking forward to your replies!

Hi all - got my refund today - no hassle. As I am working from home and trapped inside with the rest of the world, I have been fantasizing about owning an authentic Brando signature. Though this is not the time to make large and frivolous purchases, would anyone care to check these ones from eBay and give an opinion? I really like the first one and although it’s the sloppiest of the signatures, this one rings true to me, but you all are the experts! Also, is it worth the $10 to get a PSA opinion through eBay as they offer before you purchase? On a final note, I’m glad I found this forum. It’s fun, informative, and mind blowing sometimes to read the posts and see the blatant fakes out there. I hope the links make it easier so you can read the entire background, etc. Thanks everyone!

Here is your first Brando you are asking about. And save yourself some money. This one is genuine.

BTW, all the other Brando signatures you are asking about are ones I would not recommend.

Thank you so much for the input and for the tip on the cheaper version. That's the one I thought was real. BTW, is $1K a fair asking price? I figured a real Brando on a cut piece of paper like that might be worth $500 - am I crazy?

I believe the signature is worth more than $500. You can contact Dr. Gary Brucato, owner of Classic Entertainment, directly and make him an offer. Brando is extremely difficult in authentic form and this example is as good as it gets.

Thanks Joe!

I only asked about the price because there was a thread from a woman looking to sell her TWO Brando's which the forum all felt were authentic and the price suggested was $300. I'm probably dreaming that I'll ever own an authentic Brando but I did email Dr. Gary on your advice.

Best!
