I'm not sure if these are supposed to be sold online but I'm starting to see them pop up, i've ordered 1 from each store and hope they don't cancel but i figured this would be a good place to add additional stores we find. Heres what i found so far

No probably not

For all we know, those people on Ebay have access to record store allotted stock - emplyees/owners? Lots of assumptions and speculation going on here!

you may be right but they did get posted immediately after they sold out on the website so it at least looks like they got them from the ones that just sold out

They were backdoored.

I thought about it…. I guarantee the bots send them to different addresses and use different names so it’ll be hard to detect (just guessing)… also, I bet the website won’t care either

Wording is 1 per customer, so it could mean placing the exact same order multiple times. They might not care about the details unless we bring it to their attention.. but even then, they might not care anyways.. a sale is a sale. Why create more work?

So far there's 9 on ebay for the same price and based in the kind of stuff each one sells, it looks like it's the same f* guy!

yeah I was thinking the first few looked like the same guy, he probably has several different eBay accounts

With different seller accounts based in NJ, IN, CA, AZ OK, and TX.  Sound conspiratorial. I get being pi*ssed off because they sold out in the blink of an eye.  But the only one that wreaks of maybe a bot is the person listing 4 in IN.  And they might have a connection with an indie record store that is hooking them up. So it's possible they got all 4 or none at all from the website.

The selling for the same price thing is baffling.  I mean if you want to sell to someone desperate to have it-it'd make sense to undercut the competition by a couple of dollars to make the quick sale. Especially since the prices will drop when the indie stores release for in-person sales.  Seems lazy/greedy.

I'm sure we will see many many more pop up by next week

It’s probably the same group they just set a minimum price for their members. The people getting their feathers in a bunch about it are being silly. Having multiple ebay accounts would not only be silly but difficult as you’d need to vpn for all of them have diff payment info etc. ebay is not a minor e commerce place

yeah, the first few I saw were in different locations in California so I thought it could be the same person, but then saw that they are scattered all over in different states. I know we have all been checking this site constantly for a long time so this is pretty disheartening. I've been pretty lucky overall so I guess you can't win them all
