Richard Burton SP JSA - Or is it? Not to me. Authentic Exemplars from 1949-1980.

Hello All,

Here is a 5x7 b/w Richard Burton SP on eBay from VINTASIGS1 for $145 (OBO) with JSA, followed by 3 authentic exemplars (click to enlarge).  I would not go anywhere near this. There are some rather odd JSA items up for sale...

Additional exemplars C. 1976-77

The OP photograph would be about 1980/82. Burton died in 1984 in his sleep at his home in Celigny after writing a rather disturbing diary entry his wife Sally did not find for several weeks. He had just completed filming 1984. The steady degeneration of his signature in the exemplars provided obviously excludes the OP as having any chance to be authentic, apart from the breaks, pen lifts and formation problems. By 198o the alcohol crystals in his spine required surgery and vertebra fusion. He could not lift his right arm w/o someone holding it after that, at least not without shaking all over the place. Now could he sign this OP photo?

Here is another one I used to own, a very scarce mid 1960's SP:

What happend to it?

Which Mike?

The 1960's original signed Spy still? I sold it. I decided to retain the 1949 vintage photo shown below. I do not collect doubles for years.

The sources for the exemplars shown here are PSA Facts, History Direct, and Rare and Remarkable auction archives. I find them all perfectly authentic. The second color candid and the Spy photo were once mine.

I agree.  The original photo posted above is definitely not real.  It's like they didn't even hardly bother to try to get it right.

No idea how this passed. It is pulled now.

Thank you for your valued observations and addition Eddy.

You're welcome!

The OP surname "r" appears to be based on his vintage signature. The rest is just nonsense.
