He had been sick for awhile so this one isn't as shocking as Bowie or Frey, IMO. I think you can forget about the "in 3s" stuff, because a majority of the classic rock era artists are now in their 60s or older, and we'll see this more often. Jagger is 72, Rod Stewart 71, Steve Tyler 67, Bob Seger 70, John Fogerty 70, McCartney is 73, Ringo is 75, Springsteen 65, Ritchie Blackmore 70.......it's just life...and death....
