I posted this on the classic film autograph group I admin. but also thought it might be interesting here.  Would love to hear any AL members thoughts:

This closed this afternoon on eBay with only two bidders and a low price of $272. I would have expected to have seen more activity in the final moments if it was a slam dunk as far as being real. This is THE film noir signed image to have from Rita Hayworth in the title role of GILDA.
It's a vintage portrait of Rita but said to have been signed in the 70s. It doesn't quite look like the looser handwriting she typically had IMHO. Looks a bit "tight" and "drawn" to me ... and the black felt tip ink is rather fresh appearing in the scan.
Any thoughts? Did higher of the two bidders get a real bargain here?

Here's a sample of her autograph which would have been from the same later era:

I am by no means an expert but have seen solid Rita Hayworth's over the years.  I would not want that in my collection.  The following I believe to be good.  The pink card is 1974.  All are from Verzi Collection.

Here is one from Bill Hosking's collection circa 1980s.

Thanks for posting those, Scott.  I agree.  There's something that's just not quite right about it.
