Hi Everyone,
I have my suspicions about the authenticity of this one. Purchased in Toronto Canada around 1999/2000 and framed it shortly thereafter.
Out of storage for first time in 10+ years.
Very much appreciate this forum’s views - I know the fakes market is very real - if it is fake please share with me how you can tell.
Many thanks.
See if you can find an authentic Robert De Niro autograph that has an “R” that is written from the bottom-up. He typically starts his “R” from the top-down. The entire autograph is atypical, but you can begin with that. Sorry, Luigi.
Thanks Mike. I was on the PSA site just now and searched some samples and I totally see what you were referring to.
Sadly mine is not real but I’m grateful for knowing.
In the coming days I’ll give this piece of memorabilia a proper send off in the trash.
Too bad it’s not real. It’s a nice pic of De Niro though.
Agree, sadly not real but a lovely clear image
Perhaps I open up the frame and apply some paint thinner on the marker :)
great photo! i have a large collection of both robert de niro and al pacino and sadly they sign different al the time and that makes it hard to authenticate what is real or fake but the one you posted is not authentic ''mike did mention the way the ''R'' is written and the rest of the autograph doesn't matter after that.
One of the early discussions that I posted was about a Robert De Niro autograph that I purchased on eBay, and that I suspected of being a forgery. It was my first eBay purchase. Looking back, it was clearly a forgery. I threw it in the garbage.
