Rock and Roll Collection Concerns [Title revised by moderator]

I see this site brought up a lot on this site for autograph references.

http://www.rockandrollcollection.com/

problem is, who ever this Stephan is he has a load of forgeries up here too. I get messages from people from time to time saying he has offered to sell a member here an item or two and it is never the real stuff imo, it is usually the fake stuff. Greed. He wants money but doesn't want to part with the good stuff.

Eagles are his most famous work. Attached is a screen shot of his fake work (not limited too). Notice how they are the same..... duh. If you look through his stuff he has loads of fake Zeppelin, Beatles, Springsteen, Stones, Floyd and more. Even the so called authentic Traveling Wilbury's is not real. Maybe the George and Petty are ok but 100% not the Lynne and I'm pretty sure the Dylan is bogus also. Anyway, I don't wish to debat about this guy and his ethics but if you are using him a reference be careful and I wouldn't buy anything from the guy either.

After all these many replies you STILL think Mr. Duncan is a master forger and not (as many people have stated) the most prolific Eagles collector in the world?

Yup. And there are MANY replies from people that agree. It's obvious to people that have been getting autos in person for as long as I have. Collectors, people who just buy, need the convincing but I am tired of trying. Thank you.

Ive never really gone past his Eagles autos much and hope its like Innuendo says, maybe he was trusting or made some trades, deals for stuff. I think theres a lot of good stuff but there are some questionable ones, Nimoy etc. Hopefully he will respond, with what I read into his feelings of forgeries, this must be quite upsetting for him.

Am I missing something under psycho Santa on his site it makes it look like he finally met Don Felder in 2008 yet a lot of the items including the one I bought from him have dates from the early 90's

3rd paragraph of that section.  Felder signed for him through the mail in 1992, and I believe in person on several occasions prior to that.  It was from late '93, early '94 through 2008 when there was no contact.  Then the book signing etc.

Stephen,

There is 100% absolutely no way that the Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band Rising album on your website is authentic.  Not just 1, but every autograph is completely off from every known example.  The Bruce is nowhere even close, yet you say you got it in person.  Please explain.

Hello,

I am trying to follow this. I did not see that argument. Can you point me to other exemplars of Nimoy with that "N" and "y" so I can get a better understanding of this all?

Eric

I'm not sure what quantity has to do with anything? If that were a criterion all Gleason's would be good? Better scans would be good all around. It is possible quantity is involved here - I'm not sure.

Stephen are you saying every single one of those autographs on your website you obtained in person?

That's the big question. I have no doubt you have gotten many signatures and I can barely remember what I did yesterday as far as date mix ups.

Hi again,

I certainly appreciate these insightful comments, but I don't see what this has to do with signature variations or "issues"? Simply, how comes it you should you have such a density of unusual Nimoy's that only seem to resemble the others you have? I have not run into that "N" and "y" combination - please point me to other exemplars so I can have a look for myself?

Thanks,

           Eric

Hello again,

I for one thank you for addressing these "issues" in this forum. Well, yes actually, I have met Shatner, Nimoy, Kelley and Doohan. Numerous times. I still wonder why you would have those rather odd "Nimoy's" in such density/frequency? I really would appreciate seeing exemplars with that extended far-reaching "N" and dragging right-slanted "y" elsewhere. Not sure what I am missing here? There must be exemplars I am missing? That "Kelley" "D"?

Eric

PS - May one post examples from your site here in comparison with other exemplars?

PSS - What do you think of the Waters in "My Page"?

Hello again,

Well, can you point me to to other examples of that "N" and that "y" in "Nimoy"? It's just that I have not seen them before and you have so many. It is "funny" that the Bowie is off by "Five Years" as in his song ;) be it typo or what not.

Thanks,

           Eric
