Yup that's textbook Roger
Thank you Corey
Great, very similar to the one I got on the same album.
Robert, you have a great Floyd IP collection - congrats.
Thanks Corey. Below are some stuff signed by Roger (in 2013) and Nick (2015). Sadly didn't manage to persuade David to sign any of them, except of my new Holy Grail - "The Endless River" LP which is now signed by David, Nick and Polly Samson.
Great items Robert. All are signed beautifully and that Endless River which I've seen is also a treasure piece. Great that you were able to meet the 3 of them - very jealous of your traveling budget :)
I just recently bought a big ticket Floyd item which I'll post when I receive it - a fully vintage signed Animals LP.
Thanks, Corey! Actually that didn't cost that much to travel to the UK to meet Nick (M&G at Footes Music Shop last December) and David (Hay Festival this May). There are plenty of low cost flights between Poland and the UK. David experience wasn't as good as with the other guys as he was "only" signing "Rattle That Lock" album but I've managed to persuade him to sign "Endless River" as well (he totally rejected signing any "classic" Floyd stuff saying he's got to have some rules and he would stick only to "Rattle That Lock").
Wow, can't wait to see the Animals LP - that would be a highlight of any collection!!
I was very tempted to travel to the Hay Festival but unfortunately the US is a bit further to the UK than Poland (a beautiful country might I add). You must have some great persuasion tactics to not only get him to sign two albums, but also that Endless River! I struck out on getting David to signed a RTL album when he came to Chicago earlier this year, he barley acknowledged the 5 of us who were waiting.
Wow, I went to his first United Center concert this April (was in town for different reasons but it was good scheduling!). Also was hoping that he will show up alongside Polly on her book signing on the day of Auditorium Theatre show, as the event was barely promoted and really "quiet", but he didn't... Later that day saw him leaving the hotel before show but he didn't even look at me or few other people, passing like 3 ft from me. I spoke with his security guy that day and he basically confirmed that David wouldn't sign or even pose for photos AT ALL, excluding low-key book events with Polly. Sadly, there were not many of them and I believe there might not be anymore of them in the future...
Ha small world! I was at that book signing as well! I lived right across the street from that book store at the time. Wish he would have came with her to it - that would have been quite the surprise.
Here is my album signed by her...also ran into Guy Pratt in the alley and had him sign while waiting for David at the Auditorium.
I believe most of people who gathered at this tiny bookstore were anticipating that David would show up (as he did in Toronto a few days earlier). When I saw his security guy checking the place out, I was pretty certain he would be there. Sadly it was only Polly - a huge letdown for me and many others. :(
Hi Nicholas,
Nice and with good contrast (and no sticker).
