It wouldn't be so annoying if he at least contributed in some way to the forum but he doesn't. It's getting ridiculous

Yes, I thought I took time to advise/help you, was generally just trying to help, so if you bought something it would be authentic, maybe I am getting you mixed up with another person, which is possible as on a number of occasions I have helped people when they have asked.

This site is intended to help collectors evaluate items in their own collection and potential purchases. You are using the the site to get free opinions on cheap crap so you can flip it. If you even attempted to learn these on your own to filter out some of the junk you post, it would be a relief to everyone.
While everyone is here to help I think you are clearly abusing this forum and the help of everyone Paul Jones

Thank you everyone for your views, I do not own my own business or store, but it is correct that I do occasionally sell on some items from my collection. I will take on board what has been said about being more selective about which items I post.

I am sorry if anyone feels that I abuse the forum, this is never my intention.

It is best that any of you who see a post that I have added, just don't view it, then that way you won't get upset with me.

To the people I mentioned in my earlier post, thank you again for your help, it is as always very much appreciated. xx

I am always reluctant to log in to this site due to post such as this one, it is insulting, of course I am not so inclined to speak for the members of this site, but it would be safe to say this is not a novice site, the majority of the members here have been doing this for quite some time & are looking for insight to signatures that are on the fence.....

Chris, I think novices are welcome on this site, particularly if you let people know. However, i think if it's perceived that someone is just using the site for their own enrichment (i.e. flippers), then after awhile, members may get upset. Dealers are certainly welcome too. And there is a difference between flippers and dealers, who are often big contributors. The primary focus, of course, is collectors helping collectors on all levels, so they don't get burned.

I agree with everyone on this thread. And you can't say "don't look at my threads." Not sure about the rest of you, but my computer just shows the title. I think to myself "Ohhhh, let's see what this Stones item is all about" and I click, and see the worst forgeries I've ever seen.

So, if your name appeared in the title, we might be able to do that.

Seriously, we need one of the moderators to stop this type of thing. Steve Cyrkin????

I've been watching Josh.   Closely.   Sometimes just letting the forum speak to a member works, without us stepping in, so I'm sort of just letting this roll for now.  But I am paying attention.

Perhaps it is just me (or the cough medicine I have been taking the past week) but I have a different view than some of my friends on here (many I have the highest respect for).  I want to make it clear i am not criticizing anyone who feels annoyed or "used" by these posts.  I think I have looked at nearly every post Mr. Jones has made even though I do not collect music or sport related items. I love autographs and therefore like learning as much about them as I can even ones I do not collect. Sometimes you can learn more from a bad forgery than you can from a legitimate autograph. As for "flipping" i know I have bought several items that upon research of old eBay listings they were flipped but I had not seen the earlier auction. Actually flipping has gone on forever and frankly there would be few top autograph dealers without doing something similar. Buy for as cheap as you can and sell for as much as you can. I just have never been smart enough to do that (I also tend to hoard things) I have only sold maybe three autographs in the past 45 years (for under $25 for all).  Personally I would rather have a flipper ask if something is real than to not care if it is real or not and list it on eBay for unsuspecting novices.   Mr. Jones does appear to be honestly concerned with only having legitimate autographs something I wish more eBay sellers would do. I guess the way I see it is that the real enemy is not the seller/flipper that really wants to sell only authentic stuff but the ones that do not care.

It wasn't so much the posts as the barrage of emails that kind of got to me right away.  Being added as a friend then spammed up to wazoo was pretty crappy.

Thank you sir, finally a balanced post.
