Hi all,

I purchased a 1st edition hard back copy of "The Manipulator" by Diane Cilento back in the late eighties. I purchased it as signed. There are two signatures, Diane Cilento and Sean Connery. As this was before the internet, I thought it was a nice curiosity and promptly forgot about it until I was sorting out the attic this week. I have no experience with autographs at all, being solely a book collector.

A cursory glance online at their autographs would lead me to believe that they are pretty similar, but I would appreciate a more experienced opinion.

Thanks in advance

I have developed a sixth sense for which books to check, but ultimately it comes down to putting in the legwork.  At our peak, we were doing between 20 and 30 charity shops a day, every time we had a day off together.  That work rate has slacked off a bit post-COVID.

Here is the Pullman.  I found this on the same same day as first editions signed by Sir Edmund Hillary and Carry On actress Fenella Fielding.  All three for less than £5.50.

Thank you. My background is books, so the dustjacket is key. Autographs are way out of my comfort zone. Appreciate the advice.

The Sean Connery autograph looks pretty typical to me. I am not familiar with Diane Cilento’s autograph.  Best of luck, James.

Thanks Mike

James, They also look good to me.

Thank you David.

I have absolutely Zero experience with Autographs, so the assistance is much appreciated.
