Hello! I'm conflicted on the hobby trend of encapsulating and would like your opinion, please. Say hypothetically I have a signed index card JSA certified, a President, or high profile person. Do you think having PSA or Beckett encapsulating it is worth the investment?
I see no problem with encapsulating. Especially, if you mainly are just storing them and they do offer a higher level of protection. I've never checked. Is it more expensive to have encapsulated?
Appreciate the clarification, Steve. Now, this is just my personal preference although I would rather pay the $10 extra and get a full letter and have the autograph displayed in the TPA's database for future online reference and proof.
I turn my autographs into matted pieces and properly store them. Just my way, I guess. I have removed encapsulated autographs and matted them as well. I keep the label with the piece for reference purposes although that's not as solid as being able to see them independently online.
