seeking to add to my collection of Michael autographs.  What is your take on these? Provenance seems credible and signatures seem at least close....to my novice eyes.

The first one looks like MJ's that were peddled by a guy named R. LaMotte, and I don't care for it.  The 2nd and 3rd look good to me.

Can you get the seller to send you a close up of the inscription on the "HIStory" print (#2) - I'd like to see what it says - and ask them what size the piece is.  Also ask about a COA with it - there were a limited amount of these done and were witnessed signings.

Stated to come from a consignment from his hair stylist, it is inscribed “To Carol Lakers, the conquerer (sic) Michael Jackson” it is framed but 18 1/4 x 27 1/2 visible

I appreciate your thoughts!

Ok that sounds right.   I know they aren't small.   Can you show the inscription up close?

I believe these are available to see in the November Juliens auction.

Thanks Prashant, I know someone sent me a bunch of drawings to look at from there, I'm going to reach out to Brett this week to see what the deal is, as at least one of those was in the collection he had out at the hangar.  If he didn't consign then they might be doubles or forgeries (this is for the drawings, not the autographs listed above in this discussion).

I went and looked through the current items - wow :) there are some really nice items :)  I knew only about the drawings from Hoefflins collection - which actually are documented in 2009 immed after he died (a few of them)  There are also a lot of signed pics to Hoefflin as well that are spot on - gorgeous, so the items really did belong to him. NICE.

Carols items look nice as well.  His wigs though?  weird. lol

Anything else not listed in their collections though I'd have to look at individually - there are a few.

I personally think those drawings are real unless proven otherwise like they have been duplicated.

Yep I agree (for the most part), Prashant.  I am still going to reach out to Brett as he did have a small version of "little me"  - it may not even be the same one though.  I normally detest Juliens but yeah the sigs in the collection are nice (in Carols and Hoefflin's collections - they aren't all from them though so I'd be careful looking at the others.  I do like the "Bad" album tho :)

Thank you both.  I appreciate the review and will bid with confidence in their authenticity.

Daniel, do you mind if this discussion goes into some of the artwork as well?  There is a Sun article from July 2009 (Michael died in June 2009) that supposedly has Hoefflin's drawings from Michael documented some.  I am trying to locate that article.

What bugs me is that I have seen a few of these before that I thought were on Juliens already, but ... were those copies/forgeries that someone did based on the article of Hoefflin from the Sun?

Or, did someone buy Hoefflin's stash and is now letting it go and added to it items they bought at Juliens?

Or did Hoeffin buy more since MJ died and add to his collection?

I don't want to go on anyone's word including Hoefflin.

I would appreciate further discussion on the drawings as well, wascher.  Definitely looking to learn more about their history and associated provenance.
