hey - did you go to that show! I was there! What a show.....

Yeah, I made the trip over from Midwest USA,

Was on my feet for 11-12 hours on the GA field, which I'm getting too old to do.  My flight back the next morning had Danny Carey, the drummer from Tool, on it with his wife, so we chatted a bit beforehand about the event.  He loved drumming with the other percussionists during their jam.

Sweet! I too made the trip from the midwest....we hung out an extra few days after in London - so no one on our flight....LOL...but that is awesome you had Danny on your plane back...

We were in the lowers on the right side if you were looking at the stage.

What an awesome show!

Corgan certainly seemed happy at Bowie's 50th performing All the Young Dudes with him. Bowie said "I've got a song about him" ("Billy rocked all night about his suicide...") and then they went into it. I can't remember how many songs they did together. Lou Reed was there. The Foo Fighters. Frankie Black and I don't remember who else. Sonic Youth. It was filmed by Bowie's son.

We saw Smashing Pumpkins at a small venue in the UK. After the show, we helped the band pack up their gear because we'd missed the last train home. Billy Corgan wouldn't sign my officially bought Angels T-shirt ("I'm not signing any dirty, sweaty rag"). He would, however, sign my friends cigarette packet!!!!!

haha, good story!

He refused to sign my ticket. He told me "aren't you a little old for this, Grandpa?" I was considerably younger than him...he later invited me backstage, only to renege. at the last moment I just listened to the show on YouTube. Better than I remember. I mentioned it was for Hale House - $419,000 I think - that turned out to be a scam.
