I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998. Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia. For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph. I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998. My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams. I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

Cushing did sign Star Wars related material, but very few 8x10's picturing him in character, and even fewer that were uninscribed.
Plenty of smaller postcard or trading card sized items exist, but again, many of them are inscribed.
Talking with a few long time dealers, they made it very clear that if they were taking advatage of Cushing's kindness towards TTM fans, they found that Star Wars items signed by Peter were not very good sellers in the 1970's and 1980's they did far better with Hammer Horror images and Sherlock Holmes photos. Needless to say by the surge is SW collectors in 1995-1997, Peter was no longer with us.
Great story Pete. Thanks for sharing.
Looks pretty typical to me Nick.
Depends on your definition. That was signed by his wife Ginny, so I look at it as a secretarial.
Hi Pete - I recall reading about these some time ago on Rebel Scum and you had your doubts about these post-stroke signatures, but I don't recall you being so definitive. Has new information emerged that it was certainly the wife? Weren't these sigs sold through his own web site?
Lot's of people on Rebelscum got bunches of these graphs thru the mail for years, and it was an ongoing fight over there for a long time. I made my opinions clear for years, as I had met with Phil on numerous occasions pre stroke and post stroke. Shows in NY, Jersey, a Chiller, Celebration 2 and the final show he attended in Hudson Valley, NY. Every graph I got in-person was exactly the same, with later graphs being shakier and his inability to inscribe or add Uncle Owen.
Due to the fact that there was a number of people on scum who refused to listen to any of this and made excuses & arguements for weeks on end that I did not see him or his wife sign these bubbled versions....it just wasn't worth fighting them anymore.
These bubbled style graphs would come on index cards and things like that TTM for free. Phil and his wife were the only people living at the address.
They did not start hitting the timemachine website until after Phil had passed.
All I can do is put the facts out there...and let people make their own decisions.....I know what I think, but I can't control anyone else's opinions.
Question: If you could only choose one autograph to have between who you believe to be the most true representative of Darth Vader....who would it be and why? David Prowse or James Earl Jones. Don't let the value of the autograph impact your decision.
