Star Wars Collectors Unite!

I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998. Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia. For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph. I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998. My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams. I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

Thanks to the combo of a faulty surge protector and a bad Dell power supply .... I am going to be pretty much offline for the next week or so. So begins the week of waiting for the build and ship-out of my new computer.

You guys will have to handle the wild hoards of Harrison fans without me.....for awhile at least.

Official pix just announced a signing with Colin Cantwell. For those who don't know, he was one of the very first model makers on the Star Wars project and was the first to take McQuarries illustrations and bring them to life. He made a lot of the early models that were used in the film, including all the iconic ships. George lucas asked him to start and run what would become ILM, but he declined.

For history/space buffs (Steve!) he also worked for NASA on the Apollo 11 mission and was a technical consultant during the moon landing.

Pretty cool and rare autograph to have!

FYI, it seems like the requests have finally become more than James Earl Jones can handle anymore. I sent a Darth Vader 8x10 to the Horatio Productions address in Pawling, NY. Today, after 70 days, I received the photo back in my envelope unsigned with a note that apologizes that Mr. Jones can no longer keep up with the demand and can't sign. I am dissapointed, but not upset at him. After all, he did keep up with the demand for many years. I may try one more time when he is in a Broadway play from September to December.
