Star Wars Collectors Unite!

I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998. Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia. For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph. I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998. My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams. I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

Did you check if yours is a processed photo print or an inkjet one, Mike?

It appears to be a processed photo print Steve, not an inkjet print. That is why I am confused about the absence of markings on the back. It appears to be decent photo paper.

I have 3 from that day. 2 have Fuji markings and one is completely blank. I bought 2 from the same guy and one is blank and the other is Fuji, so I don't think there's much rhyme or reason to it.

You have to understand the mentality of the in-person grapher. These guys get their images from different sources, one may use a magazine to snag an image file, another may use an online jpeg, and another may just go and buy images from a collectibles shop. None of them print just a single shot, and most LA guys are working in 11x14 or bigger now. They individually go to whatever shop prints them for them. Adorama, Walmart, Costco, CVS or some mom & pop photo processing place.

Then the chance at getting the graphs happens, and they are all standing around for however long, They show up with their stacks of photos, and chances are they are friends, swapping ensues, collector 1 now has his shots and a shot from collector 2 and or 3, and so on.

Obviously at least one source for printing photos out there isn't using Kodak or Fuji, they are just getting whatever photo paper they get the best deal on.

Photos get swapped around, if someone isn't prepared he might buy one from another guy. Happens all the time.

yes the grapher hand wrote the date in the back corner which was nice to know the date range of that graph!!Also was Fuji printed and the date on the actual photo print was I think around sept 20th..I am not to sure how to read photolab dating just a whole run-on of numbers lol.
