Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Mark

I hear you and agree. They didn't communicate. In their defense, non-collector's (such as some of my non-collector friends) would enjoy a stamped signed picture as much as a real signed picture. Everyone here puts a huge value on original signatures but others may not. They value the image of the person they are a fan of.

On another note, the endorsement signature shows the less common "r" shape we have seen on the "By Request" album and others. Also, the endorsement signature is cleaner, has less lean and the individual letters are spaced.

Are you saying that you believe the endoresement signature to be real? If so, I would gladly get the check from my bank.

I think it's most likely Judith who endorsed the check

It's real, in my opinion.

I am not saying the endorsement is real or fake.

I believe we have two main styles of signatures attributed to JLL. It appears the sloppier version, as seen in the stamped signature on your item, is one style. Another slower, more neat version, as seen on the back of the check, is a second. It seems to me most members who commented on this discussion believe the sloppier style with the heavier lean is the authentic. Some think both are authentic.

I agree about the endorsement signature.

Here is the back of the cheque when I got my to steve jerry lee signature this has jerry lee and Judith so may help

O.K., here is an update. I sent a letter and two photos to Judith Lewis at the address Mark Roberts used. I explained all the info regarding the expert opinions in this thread and asked them to make it right by signing the photos. I received the photos back signed today. Judith wrote all over my letter. We are NOT in the business of FAKE - you can pass that on to your "experts"! We wil honor. It's odd that N. Carolina fans seem to be speading fake - JLL NOT HAPPPY! (This rumor of JLL FAKE Signstures is going too far!) There is no staff anymore to do anything with them.

I am very happy with this respose. I did not mean to upset JLL, but they did more than right by me in the end. Case closed as far as I am concerned.
