Hi all. I though this may be of broad interest for anyone considering this route, particularly if you find yourself in my situation.

For about 8 years now I've had the seminal WHO album 'My generation' proudly hung on my den wall, tucked in a shady corner, scribed with at least 3 of the band's autographs -  Pete, John and Roger in blue biro. I say at least 3, because there's a teasing pen sweep next to Keith....

Anyway, display has taken its toll and I now have serious fading issues. They are still legible, but it's now off the wall and back in a file. I know - should have done it a long time ago!

So the plan now is to have the cover scanned using a local specialist, some techy processing applied and a version of it printed for display. The process starts tomorrow. My aim is to digitally recover the signatures so that they can be seen as clearly as possible, without it looking overly 'enhanced'. Obviously, this will be just for home display.

I'll keep you posted on how this works out.   For now I've attached some 'before' pics to show the extent of the fading.
