Trixie, the strong willed wife of Ed Norton, upstairs girlfriend of Alice and friend of Ralph, Trix had a somewhat shady backstory involving a few risqué sketches in Vaudeville. Like Audrey Meadows, she did not originate her role. That was Elaine Stritch, once. Randolph only played Trixie from 1952-1957 - others played the character including Patricia Wilson, Jane Kean and Sue Ann Landon. Randolph was the longest surviving original Honeymooners cast member, having passed less than a year ago on January 13, 2024.
Randolph's vintage signature is even harder to secure than Gleason's! By a ratio of some 4 to 1 easily! I have just a handful to share. Like Meadows and Carney, she is very plentiful in later form.

As Randolph only acted in a single TV episode during the 1960's, there is very little to nothing available.

And there, thanks to Scott, is a new addition to my collection. Joyce at 95! 2019 ANS. She was the last living original cast member. What a LADY!

Of course! I need that date! :-) Verzi?
That's funny you mentioned John Verzi; that jogged my feeble memory. Actually, I wrote an article on AML about how this Joyce Randolph autograph proved a suspicion of mine that John Verzi and Ed Gellman (another great collector) knew each other! One on the East Coast, the other on the West. I wrote an article about the connection, and I will provide the link to it. I think you were the only person that read it! That is not unusual for my articles, though. In any event, yes, I bought it from the John Verzi collection, but he got it from Edward Gellman! Here is the link feel free to put the autograph where you see fit on here. Verzi trimmed the album page and glued it on an index card. I am certain Verzi and not Gellman added the talent agency photo.
JOHN VERZI & EDWARD GELMAN PROOF OF CONNECTION. - Autograph Live
Wasn't there a Gelman that was bothering Joan Crawford? Showing up at her apartment unannounced? Trying to publish an article. Gelb? Someone in here. Could not ID a vintage Grace Kelley IIRC. Larry something?
I am not sure about Edward Gellman, but John Verzi bothered one actress a great deal. I forget her name she told people to "keep that man away from me." Both Verzi and Gellman were able to get in-person autographs from tons of stars. I could see Verzi on Joan's doorstep.
Irving J. Gelb. Someone you don't want on your doorstep.
Hi All,
two further examples have been added by our Scott Paul - 1965 and 2013.
Thank you Scott,
Eric :-)
More than welcome glad you are doing these Honeymooners studies.
Thank you Scott There is so much bad out there:
Thanks again to member Scott Paul we now have an example of Randolph at age 95! STILL signing. You can see it in the main article.
Eddy was kind enough to provide a scan of a Randolph SP, very early, and I have included it in the body of the article. Thank you Eddy!
Thank you, yes, that adds a wonderful example of her handwriting. Great addition.
