Definitely not the typical secretarial handwriting/signature you see all over eBay, and it seems to closely match some of the other authentic 1970's examples I'll share links to below.  Anyone else feel this is genuine when comparing?

The handwriting seems similar in some aspects to these examples:

No surprise there but I would still avoid this item for the reasons listed earlier.

PS - I have seen auction houses decline such a color challenged/faded item. And many collectors will avoid it as well. It should NOT bring close to full value. A decent B/W would be preferable.

The photo itself appears to be what came with every LP of “Old Blue Eyes Is Back.”   It seems to have been trimmed down a bit.  The color of the photo itself doesn’t seem to be any different than any others I see online from that album.  The condition, however, does leave something to be desired with the creases.  Agreed though—if the photo was in mint condition it would bring more.

It looks to have shifted to the red which is of the period. It is the ink fade, trimming and creases that will hinder this item. If not discounted considerably then pass.

Yes, very good comparison exemplars.

Did the person leaning secretarial give possible reasons for their thoughts in that direction?

They did not.  And then they deleted their comment.

I'd say that if the price is agreeable with you and you like it, it would be a nice piece to have.  It's certainly not perfect but it may be priced accordingly?   He's rather scarce in authentic form at that point in his career.
