This looks to me like an authentic Madonna autograph.  However, one thing to keep in mind is that photos, especially of a big star like Madonna, are often copied and can be hard to tell.  About 5 years ago, when I really began pursuing Madonna autographs, I bought about 5 signed Madonna photos from the same seller, not all at once, but over a couple of months.  They all looked really legit.  I believe they were all real Madonna signature styles, all 80s style, nice M autographs.  This guy, who was in business with his mother, had lots and lots of signed photos from various celebrities at prices too good to be true.  I should have known better, but I was just really getting back into buying autographs and didn’t know all the things to look for.

‘I really started to get suspicious when I looked at his inventory, and he had a few hundred (at least) total of many top celebs.  He probably had 25 or more Madonnas, pricing some at $75 and less with BIN.  Others he placed in auction format.  When he put signed Madonna nudes at auction, they would go for $125 or so.  Ebayers with many transactions (like some with over 2000 ebay transactions) and seemingly lots of experience were buying from this guy which gave me more confidence.  When I got my photos, they looked good, and the autographs looked very authentic.  However, when I bought one that looked to be signed in gold paint pen, that’s when I figured it out.  Looking it over, it appeared as though the paint pen was part of the photo.  I rubbed over the surface, and sure enough, the gold paint pen did not rise above the photo.  It was part of the photo.

This guy was using some kind of very nice printer to make very believable copies.  Well, at that point, I had never returned anything on eBay, and I let too much time expire to file for a refund.  So I ate about $270 in fake autographs.  Well, those fake ones have never left my hands.  Of course, I will never try to dupe anyone like this guy did me.  Even though I had casually been collecting autographs for years, at that point I still felt kind of like a newbie.  I certainly wasn’t even thinking about scumbags copying photos and selling them as real.  It was an expensive lesson.  But in this hobby, sometimes you have to get burned in order to learn a lesson that can save you money down the line.

So the moral of the story is...be careful of signed photos, and don’t be stupid like I was.  And when prices seem to good to be true, they usually are.

I have this CD which was signed and gifted by Madonna to her Harley Street surgeon.

£385 with tracked and signed for shipping. Let me know if any interest.

When it comes to Madonna, I would seek out Kamran's advice. He has always helped me and he absolutely knows more about her signature and tendencies than anyone else.

Here is a example. Quite awhile ago I found what appeared to be a genuine Madonna on eBay. Still listed there to this day. Priced a little under $400. Asked Kamran about it and found out it is a preprint. But it sure does look good from a distance.
