I thought this might be cool. Tell what concerts you are going to see. Let us know if you liked or disliked the show. Maybe show a picture, autograph, guitar pick, drumstick, or a cool story .

I really don't understand why you feel you have to critique other peoples posts. It "rubs people the wrong way". I did enjoy your Bruce Springsteen story.

I thought you didn't have time for this sort of stuff, Ian. Please make up your mind, lol.

Can't we all just ignore this unpleasant member!

Obviously he knows EVERYTHING and all others who doesn't agree with his almighty wisdom knows NOTHING...

Or to use a expression that no grown man with selfrespect should use: LOL

LMAO....

You seem so angry Terry. How do you know those guys played on Chinese Democracy? Not on the credits, I can't find it anywhere. I guess real fans just know? Ohhh my head hurts. Went to downtown San Jose last night. My first time here, I did it up right. Need me a Goody Powder from back home! Well I may puke in the toilet and head on down to Levi Stadium. Go PANTHERS!!!!!!!!

Careful on the condescension there, Barry, some folks don't like that here....how do I know Slash & Duff played on ChDemo? Well, if you had read my earlier post, I explained that but I'll do it again so it's clear- for 3 songs off of ChDemo, the studio demos were recorded in the 1991-93 period- when Slash and Duff were still in the band. Those demos are widely available on bootlegs for you to listen to. Uber-GNR fans, who follow them at a much detailed level than casual listeners- you know the type, the ones who find most songs "filler"- are attuned to the fact as to how Axl works in the studio- he almost NEVER changes the demo tapes, but in fact builds on top of them- his thing has ALWAYS been to run the band through the song a slew of times before running the tape and that becomes the base from which he builds. He will add on layers, solos, effects but rarely edits the initial material. He has, on UYI I & II, substituted parts- as in Sorum for Adler.

But what one enterprising uber-fan did with ChDemo was actually break down the parts and compare the sound waves with the circulating demos, and Slash's and Duff's were found to be comparable- in other words, another guitarist, recording live, could never replicate the exact tone, timing and rhythm as Slash did it originally. Hence, the very common perception based on substantive fact is that both Slash and Duff are present on ChDemo. As for the credits, I explained that also although nobody knows for sure if it was all on Axl or not- but considering that over the last 2 decades, with the anger between the two, it seems likely that Axl pulled the trigger and erased their credits. It isn't the first time an artist has not been included on the official credits but actually played on the album, and it won't be the last. There isn't any lawsuit over loss of payment so Duff and Slash seem less than worried about it, so I'm not sure why that is even a point- my statement was that the CURRENT band played on ChDemo.

In regards to me being angry- I'm not. I'm actually laughing at the anger being expressed at me for posting what I know as fact. I'm sorry if that offends you or others- I know it's the internet and you guys are used to being able to post whatever you want and have people accept it as the truth, even when you don't know if it is or not- I get that. It hurts when someone actually knows the truth and corrects you- you take it personally, and lash out at them. And while angrily lambasting me for being "condescending", they in turn are doing the exact same thing, LOL. Oops, I used that abbreviation again, damn me for using modern internet lingo. How that ties into "self-respect" is beyond me, but other than insulting an entire generation of people who sue the term, Jan is a swell guy. I sure hope he doesn't ignore me, my life would suffer immensely without his attention. Not.

(Barry & Jan probably know all the guitarists who played the ChDemo sessions over the years- like Brian May from Queen, Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction (that's his solo on Oh My God), and Zakk Wylde. Throw in Gilby Clarke, Buckethead, Gary Sunshine, Paul Tobias, with Thal, Fortus, & Finck, and then check the credits...but they know this..)

Terry G has been suspended for being a jerk.

Thanks Steve! That guy had it coming...
Went to see Europe at the house of blues in Orlando. They are still sounding great and put on a good show. It's fun to see bands that still are doing guitar, drum and keyboard solos.

And the final countdown is way better live than in the geico commercial.

Great, underrated band- check out their catalog, much more to them than just that 1 song! Pretty down to earth guys as well!

I would have loved to been at that one with you Bjarne.

How does a Swedish band, english second language, write a song like Cherokee?
