Hi,

I have an authentic signed Rumours album being offered to me privately and I am trying to discern the value of it. It is not personalized by any of the 5 signers. Can anyone help me in trying to value it so that I can negotiate the price in a reasonable manner? The only recent comps that I could find are below:

(1) Iconic Auctions from the Steve Grad collection with a Beckett LOA. Personalized by Stevie.

(2) Gotta Have Rock and roll with a REAL LOA. Not personalized at all. This one looks like it only got up to $9.5k final bid and didn't meet whatever the reserve was

(3) eBay missing John McVie with Beckett and JSA LOA's. Personalized by Stevie

(4) Currently being auctioned at RR Auction with Beckett LOA. Personalized to a family and personalized by Steve. I don't like this one as much as it's signed in pen and is soiled in the lower left corner.

THANK YOU.

Thanks, Terrier. Wow, that’s quite a difference. I’m seriously doubting the other one. They look like “Stevi Nicks”, “Mick Fleetvood” and “Lndsey Buckigham”.

I think what bothers me the most is the Stevie, as you pointed out and the angular letter formation in Nicks which is something I have never seen.  Highly suspect at best, Ballroom.

And something about them all looks slow and drawn.

I agree about the Stevie signature and slowly and awkwardly drawn appearance of the set. The one that bothers me the most is the Lindsey signature. A fully formed “I” goes directly into a fully formed “G”, and there’s no discernible “N.”

its a lot of money for what appears to be a questionable set.  Complete sets of FM signatures are exceedingly rare,

For sure. It’s up to $6,673 with BP, and has certs from both JSA and BAS.

I think that the lower-speed of the signing is because they apparently signed the album to someone special, or the entire family. John and Christine added "Thank you" and it's inscribed to the Tobas family in 2 places, top left and by Stevie.

It's not unusual for Stevie to sign "Stevi," and a lot of women dropped the E from IE first names starting in the 1970s.

Terrier, I agree with you, the Stevie Nicks looks far off in a few ways but I think it's real. At first I thought it might be secretarial but it's close enough for me.

The others look OK to me, even with the missing letters.

Debbie did Dallas with an E back then but I guess she was an old-fashioned girl.

could be Steve, but I would not want this in my collection.  The Lindsey also looks way off to me
