Hi, My dad went to work , age 15 at The Imperial Hotel, Torquay , England, summer of 1963.
The Beatles only concert appearance in the seaside town of Torquay and they performed at the Princess Theatre.
My dad served the Beatles in the restaurant and chatted quite a lot with them.He told me that he took a menu from the restaurant and later , after work, went to their hotel rooms, knocked on the doors and they all signed the menu for him. He told me that John and Paul were in one room and Ringo and George in adjoining room. There was no security, he was invited into their rooms, chatted an then left with the menu.
My dad has since passed and I am wondering what the value of this original dated menu would be worth if I was to sell this.
Thanks
Julie

Once you take into account buyer's premiums, most auctions get about 33% of the final price of a consignment, so selling it through Cox at 33% is about the same (I don't know what he charges).
Thanks, Adam.
Hi Adam, just to add. Recently Ebay have added vat charges on the overall fees, an extra 20% vat on your seller fee. Also depending where your sale is Paypal also have extra charges at times (1. Currency Conversion Fee and also a transaction fee for Cross-Border payments). This can bump your Paypal fees up and another 1.5-2.5%... so if you listed the autograph on Ebay Uk for example and someone bought it from abroad these extra fees would come into place in Paypal so your Paypal fees could be around 5% and then with the vat now on Ebay fees I think this bumps up your fees from 10% to around 12%, does that make sense. The long and short of it is that your ebay/paypal fees can bump up to around 17.5%.
BTW, if you have an eBay store, the commission on memorabilia is typically 8-9%, and the maximum value commissions are computed on is $2,500. I believe it can go down further than 8-9% if you're a very high volume seller.
For example, a visitor here went to eBay and bought a $13,000 signed baseball from a major seller. I'm an eBay affiliate, so I get half of what eBay gets on memorabilia. I got about $110.
If you sell internationally you get involved in all sorts of extra taxes on imports/exports, etc
